This spunky black Lab’s motto is “work hard, play hard”. Originally donated to DFOB by an AKC certified Labrador breeder, Scotty entered the program at six months after living his puppyhood with a close friend of our organization. The trainers regard Scotty as one of the most entertaining dogs to train, due to his desire to please his handler and his goofy mannerisms.

Scotty has a large variety of assistance skills, including pushing and pulling the wheelchair from the front, back and even the handles, retrieval of dropped items, opening and closing doors, getting items from the fridge, getting help for his handler, balance and stability, emotional therapy and beyond. Scotty is one of our most highly skilled dogs at just under one year old!
